MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in boiling water until well combined. The batter will be thin.
  4. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks.
  6. Once cooled, frost with your favorite chocolate frosting and enjoy!
