- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 lbs fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add the milk and vanilla extract to the mixture and stir until just combined.
- Transfer the dough to the prepared cake pan and press it down evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Let it cool completely.
