Ingredients
  

  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until fluffy, then beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon, then mix this with the wet ingredients until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips, scoop 1.5-tablespoon portions onto the baking sheet, and bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden but the centers remain soft.
  • Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
