Ingredients:
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 12 egg whites
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
- In a medium bowl, sift together cake flour and 3/4 cup of sugar. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Add cream of tartar and continue beating until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add remaining sugar, 1/4 cup at a time, and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in vanilla extract and salt.
