This decadent chocolate icebox cake is the perfect no-bake dessert for any occasion. With layers of chocolate wafers and a creamy whipped filling, this dessert is sure to be a hit with your family and friends. It’s easy to make and even easier to eat!

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 packages of chocolate wafer cookies
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings, for garnish


  1. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. Gradually fold in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Spread a thin layer of the whipped cream on the bottom of a 9×9 inch square baking dish.
  4. Place a layer of chocolate wafer cookies on top of the whipped cream, breaking them to fit if necessary.
  5. Continue layering the whipped cream and chocolate wafer cookies, ending with a layer of whipped cream on top.
  6. Sprinkle the chocolate shavings over the top of the cake for garnish.
  7. Cover the cake with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together.
  8. Slice and serve cold.
