  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup crushed chocolate sandwich cookies


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. Fold in the crushed cookies and divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool completely before frosting.
  6. To make the frosting, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth and creamy.
