TRES LECHE CAKE

Introduction:

This Tres Leche Cake is a classic Latin American dessert that is moist, rich, and absolutely irresistible. Made with three types of milk, this cake is soaked in a sweet and creamy mixture that makes it incredibly decadent. It’s the perfect dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. While the cake is baking, mix together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, whole milk, and heavy cream in a bowl.
  8. Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and poke holes all over the top using a fork or skewer.
  9. Pour the milk mixture over the warm cake, making sure to evenly distribute it.
  10. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours, or overnight, to allow the milk mixture to soak in.
