CRUMB CAKE

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the melted butter and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients, and mix until crumbly.
  4. Take out 1/2 cup of the crumb mixture and set it aside for the topping.
  5. To the remaining crumb mixture, add the milk, baking powder, and cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool before serving.
